There’s nothing quite like spending a sunny afternoon at the orchard, picking fresh fruit, breathing in the scent of blossoms, and enjoying time outdoors with family and friends. At Breeden’s Orchard in Mt. Juliet, Tennessee, every season brings something new to discover, from blooming trees in spring to the first bite of a perfectly ripe peach in summer.

While we don’t currently offer U-Pick apples, our summer U-Pick peaches and weekly deliveries of farm-fresh apples and seasonal produce make it easy to experience the best of Tennessee’s harvest all year long. Here’s your complete seasonal guide to what’s growing, what’s fresh, and when to plan your next visit to Breeden’s Orchard.

Spring Harvest

As the chill of winter fades, Breeden’s Orchard begins to come alive again. Spring marks the start of our growing season, when blossoms blanket the orchard in pink and white and the first hints of fruit begin to form.

While we don’t offer springtime U-Pick just yet, it’s a beautiful time to visit the farm and enjoy the sights and smells of new growth. Early in the season, strawberries and early peaches begin to make their way into our farm market, alongside local honey, jams, and baked goods.

This is also the season for orchard picnics and photography, as trees burst into bloom and our café begins serving light, seasonal fare. Visitors can stroll the grounds, grab a sweet treat, and watch the orchard come back to life after its winter rest.

Spring is the perfect time to start planning your summer visits, because once the blossoms fade, peach season isn’t far behind.

Summer Harvest

Summer is the heartbeat of Breeden’s Orchard, and the time of year we look forward to most!

From late June through August, our U-Pick peach season is in full swing. Guests can wander through the orchard, fill baskets with sun-warmed fruit, and enjoy a truly hands-on farm experience. Our peaches are known for their rich flavor, juiciness, and irresistible aroma, perfect for cobblers, jams, or enjoying fresh right under the trees.

In addition to peaches, the farm store is stocked weekly with locally sourced plums, berries, and cherries, bringing a full spectrum of summer sweetness to Mt. Juliet. You’ll also find homemade peach ice cream, cider slushies, and peach-themed treats at our café.

Summer weekends at Breeden’s often feature live music, family events, and food trucks, making it an ideal time to bring the whole family out for a day in the country. Don’t forget your camera, nothing says Tennessee summer like a basket of freshly picked peaches in the sunshine.

Fall Harvest

As the air turns crisp and the leaves begin to change, fall ushers in a new kind of magic at Breeden’s Orchard. While we don’t offer U-Pick apples yet, our farm market receives fresh apple deliveries weekly, featuring varieties like Honeycrisp, Fuji, and Gala. Visitors can fill their bags with crisp apples, browse seasonal jams, or sip on our signature hot apple cider.

Fall is also pumpkin season, the perfect time for decorating, baking, and family fun. You’ll find pumpkins of all shapes and sizes at our market, along with local gourds, mums, and cozy autumn goods.

This is also the season for cider-making and fall events at the orchard. Guests can enjoy live music, warm donuts, and seasonal drinks while soaking in the beauty of Tennessee’s most colorful months. It’s a time for slowing down, gathering together, and celebrating the harvest that sustains us all year.

Winter at the Orchard

Even in winter, Breeden’s Orchard stays busy behind the scenes. While the trees rest and recharge, our team focuses on pruning, maintenance, and preparing for next year’s crops. It’s also a peaceful time to visit the market for seasonal goods like honey, jam, and baked treats that keep the orchard spirit alive year-round.

Winter often brings special events and community gatherings, from cozy café pop-ups to local holiday markets. It’s a wonderful time to pick up last-minute gifts or enjoy a quiet walk through the orchard after a fresh snowfall, a rare but beautiful sight in Mt. Juliet.

Though fruit-picking takes a pause, the sense of community and farm tradition continues through every season.
