Plan a Field Trip to Breeden’s Orchard in Mt Juliet

At Breeden's Orchard, we offer a unique and educational experience for children to explore our working apple and peach farm. Our field trips include both indoor and outdoor tours of the orchard and are designed to balance education with plenty of farm fun.

Field trips are best suited for children from Pre-K through 3rd grade (approx. ages 5–8), though we welcome mixed-age groups and will adjust activities accordingly. Teachers will appreciate the engaging lessons, kids will enjoy hands-on play and exploration, and parents/chaperones can choose their pace — from diving into farm knowledge to simply enjoying a coffee, fresh donuts, and shopping.

During the tour, children will:

  • Learn about the vital role bees play in pollination

  • Discover the life cycle of apples and peaches

  • Walk through the orchard and observe fruit in different stages, colors, and sizes

  • Explore farm life through interactive activities

Field Trip Options:

  • School Field Trips (Pre-K through 5th grade)

  • Homeschool Days – special dates designed for homeschool groups

  • Longer Visits – extended field trips available upon request for schools looking for more in-depth programming
